i voted today in our provincial election.
i am no longer a voting virgin.
i was always told that voting in an election was casting a ballot for satan's old system of things.
I don't beleive that runningman. I think the WTS wants a bet in both directions. The acticule says, that "no one should critizise her' which I would assume it also means "no one should Disfellowship her" either. As in many cases the WTS are not clear and want it boths ways. so as to keep the flock in order.

on the front. It seems its OK to vote for satan's system. I personally think they change this thought because of the eastern block countries,
in the western countries, alot don't really care about voting, but in the eastern countries the former USSR, people there die for the right to vote. And in came some religion saying its from satan !!

first time i have ever posted a message so my apologies if i am not as succinct in my use of language as some of the other contributors appear to be.
my cousin, who was in his late 20's at the time, announced that he was one of the 144,000 in the mid eighties.
his poor mother, who was scitzophrenic, was hospitalised as the shock sent her into an attack.
According to the JW Theology, its the holy spirit that tells you that your one of the annointed.
But in real practice, anyone can claim to be one of them and there is nothing no one can do about it, as long as you are batized that is. Even if everyone doudts you, one one can say anything to you, its supposed to be between you and God and the elders will have to put it on your card that you are one of the annointed whether they agree with you or not.

this is unbelievable.
i was at the watchtower meeting last sunday and one elder gave an answer that jw 's do not have the problems like the cathlic church where the preist are molesting boys or the church has to pay huge sums of money out to abused cases.
is he not aware what is happening within the jw organization ?
There are many things to consider before we can say whether he knows the truth or not.
He most probably doesn't know the truth about the WTS and the Child Molestations cases. The JW's are not 'encouragerd' to read or believe any anti-JW news. And if any one such as yourself will bring up any News articule regarding any anti-JW stuff then you will get into trouble. As the Elders Book says.."an Apostate is any one who disagrees with the Watchtower."

I have been bartized for 16 years and I never had any doubts, until I ended up in a commitee hearing, and I tasted the real love and understandiung of the elders, I could see the lies and the favortism, and I was stunned, and yet i was not allowed to tell anyone.
I then asked myself,"If this is what happened to me, what has happened to others,?' I then for the first time started to look at the internet, all the life stories of others, silent lambs..the lot, I still remember the moment when I reaslised I was in a cult. Then I felt such a fool and angry with myself for beleiveing all this.
But then again...one can only make a dicison based on the information presented to him/her at the time.
as you associate with jehovah's organization, you will find the atmosphere very different from that of temples and churches.
there is no soliciting of money, no backbiting or quarreling, and no discrimination because of family background or financial standing.
the most outstanding quality among jehovah's witnesses is love.
There probably is a bit of truth in it. but...
Its applies to new ones only. The JW have always being extra good to newly interested ones, because they can count their time with them. So if someone does come into the K/Hall they do put on an extra nice face so that maybe someone can start a study with them or at least count their time with them. They may visit them at their home to "encourage " them, but its only because they can count their time. When I was pioneering they wouldn't let me visit even the sick elderly at their home because I couldn't count my time, if I did vist them then they would drive it into my brain the fact that I couldn't count my time. After someone gets batised, then they are on their own, all the 'loveling' people are gone now, now the back bitting starts and so now....
As for the loveling Elders, well they will soon find out how loveling they really are. Yes, once your batised and become one of them, its a different story.

I just want to know so I can show-off to the "good" JW's that I know. That way they'll think I'm spiritual. hehehe
